The Longines watch company was founded in 1832 by Auguste Agassiz in the town of Saint-Imier, Switzerland. The company initially produced pocket watches with crown-wheel escapements. In 1867, Longines produced its first chronograph movement, and soon after became known for producing high-quality and accurate timepieces for sports, aviation, and scientific measurement.
In 1912, Longines developed the first automatic timekeeping device for sporting events, which allowed for more accurate timing of races and competitions. Longines became the official timekeeper for many prestigious sporting events, including the Olympic Games, and developed a reputation for producing accurate and reliable chronographs.
Longines Watch Co. is one of the oldest watch manufactures from Switzerland with a wonderful and unmatched history of invention, innovation, patents and awards. Longines made some of the most beautiful watches ever made!

This gorgeous timepiece is a vintage Longines – Wittnauer mechanical wristwatch, reference 2686-370 and dated from 1966.
It is a manual wind watch powered by an original Longines mechanical movement caliber 370, 17 jewels, sub-second hand, 19,800 A/h, 49 hours power reserve, unadjusted, Swiss made.
After 55 years, this watch still has the original champagne dial with textured design and featuring gold applied hour markers and gold matching hands. The sub-second is located at 6 o’clock and the dial is also signed with the Longines name and logo.
This watch is cased in a stunning 28mm square case and fancy lug desig, made by Star W. C. Co. – all in 10K yellow gold filled. Original Longines signed crown. It comes on a new-old-stock light brown alligator pattern GenuineLeather two-piece leather strap.
This wristwatch is in good condition! It runs and keeps great time!

Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
